The First Rule Of Tea Hunt. We Talk A Lot About Tea Hunt
I was searching for a great cup of tea I could feel good about. I had no idea what was coming.
I couldn't shake the feeling that I was settling. I'm pretty simple. I don't ask for much. I just want a good cup of tea, for goodness sake. So I started poking around. Then the strangest thing happened when I stumbled on an old article about the Boston Tea Party. Okay, I know you probably already know this but let me bore you...
It took place on December 16, 1773, when a group of American colonists, disguised as Mohawk Native Americans, boarded three British ships and dumped 342 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor. This act of protest was in response to the Tea Act imposed by the British government, which granted a monopoly to the British East India Company and imposed taxes on tea imported into the American colonies. Colonists saw this as a violation of their rights and a form of taxation without representation. The Boston Tea Party became a symbol of resistance against British rule and played a crucial role in the lead-up to the American Revolution. It united the colonists and fueled their desire for independence from British control.
Okay, now that's out of the way. I'm sure you are asking yourself, "what does this have to do with the price of tea in China?" (Sorry. I had to do it) The answer is... well nothing. And everything? I just find history interesting. That's all. But it is pertinent to the discussion in one way. You see, I'm kind of a nerd. I didn't just go the market and pick up a few boxes of tea, dip them in hot water and decide! I'm far too weird for all of that. I had to dig. And dig I did.
So Welcome to Teayourself.com. It's going to get weird. That's for sure. I hope you'll join me on this crazy adventure! (Yes. I did just refer to trying a bunch of American teas as an adventure. Come at me)
The Rules are Simple. Choose the two best selling teas from each company. Brew them according to the instructions and enjoy, maybe.
